Classic punk toon and classic cover charting the fears of a band on stage. Song gallops along not quite in sync but it works. B-side IS overlong.
(more…)This is a guide as to how one can enter discography into WordPress.
Firstly, you can simply put in the info into the band’s post as normal:
Classic punk toon and classic cover charting the fears of a band on stage. Song gallops along not quite in sync but it works. B-side IS overlong .
“Wonder what we’ll play for you tonight
Something heavy or something light
Something to set your soul alight
Wonder how we’ll answer when you say
We don’t like you go away
Come back when you’ve learnt to play.”
But, you could instead create a post elsewhere (e.g. posts, but it could be bands, people, or any other post type) and then dynamically bring in the data from that other part of the site by using the Post Context block and combining it with the Post Title block and Post Content block (you choose which post will be shown in the sidebar):

(more…)When you have a separate post, you can also simply link to it – this can be done using the linking available in the Paragraph block:
And via the Post Link block available within a Post Context block:
One chord wonders
That said, we can be more interesting as when using the Post Context block, custom static content can be interwoven in with the dynamic content from elsewhere in the site. For example, “The wonders don’t care!” below:
The wonders don’t care!
And then with some formatting and such:
The wonders don’t care
We don’t give a damn.

In my opinion, these last couple of items are the method that should be used when a post is becoming unwieldy. If a band post is getting too long say, split off some (or all) of the discography into new posts and then link to it as above.
